About
Since 2021, Allied Cleared Pty Ltd has been an Adelaide-based consultancy providing professional services to Defence, Defence Industry and Government.
In 2025, Allied Cleared Pty Ltd launched its independent, unclassified, analysis platform—Allied Cleared—a subscription-based publication designed to equip Australia’s Defence industry decision-makers with rigorous, consequence-focused insights on emerging strategic, technological, economic and geopolitical developments to inform capability planning and sovereign industrial resilience, contributing to national security outcomes.
By translating complex geopolitical, economic and technological trends into clear, actionable insights, Allied Cleared supports decision-makers across government, industry, academia and allied partners to navigate an era of accelerated strategic risks, opportunities and competition.
Strategic Rationale
We live in uncertain times. Australia faces a confluence of strategic challenges, including escalating geopolitical rivalry and tensions in the Indo-Pacific, rapid adversary modernisation, evolving global alliance frameworks, the economic headwinds of global trade disputes resulting in supply-chain and trade volatility, and the critical need to bolster our national resilience and self sufficiency by considering our sovereign capability policy and operational imperatives.
This space was born from the recognition that understanding the above dynamics – from the nuances of the AUKUS partnership and the Defence Strategic Review to the practicalities of engaging with Defence and navigating programs like DISP – is no longer optional, but essential. Given recent global tariffs and trade war between great powers, now is a critical moment to create a dedicated platform for exploring security and business development issues from an Australian Defence Industry perspective.
These converging pressures demand more than raw data or generic commentary—they require independent, context-rich analysis that bridges strategy, procurement and industrial policy.
Allied Cleared was established to meet this imperative, providing a subscription-based alternative to high-cost consultancy, yet delivering greater depth of analysis, speed and relevance for consideration by Australian Defence, Defence Industry and adjacent industries.
This platform is more than just a publication. It is a community of professionals, businesses, policymakers, and engaged citizens who share an interest in Australia's security, economic prosperity, and role in the world. This is a space for thoughtful analysis, informed discussion, and shared understanding. As we delve into the strategic challenges of 2025 and the opportunities ahead, with a particular focus on Defence Industry as a key pillar of national security and economic development, this is a space for a community dedicated to navigating uncertainty with clarity and foresight.
